Andranita Dogan
Licensed Professional Counselor & Founder of Anew Hope

Andranita Dogan is a Licensed Professional Counselor in Virginia and a Nationally Certified Counselor. Andranita has been providing counseling services to adults and adolescents age 13 and older. Andranita believes that everyone has within themselves the ability to bring about the change they want to see in their lives.
Her approach to counseling focuses on collaborating with her clients in order to bring out their wanted change. Andranita utilizes cognitive behavioral approach to counseling and integrates other theories as they fit the client's needs. Andranita Dogan offers special education advocacy and support to the children and their families.
Nailah Washington
Resident in Counseling
Nailah earned a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Currently, she is a Board Registered Resident in Counseling in the Commonwealth of Virginia. She specializes in sexual dysfunction, sex education, intimacy issues, paraphilias, trauma the LGBTQIA2S+ community, and military life.
Her theoretical foundations are Sex Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Positive Psychology with a multicultural approach providing a nonjudgmental environment to treat clients from every cultural worldview. She incorporates meditations and educates on brain functionality during treatment. She is trained in Trauma Informed Care, LGBTQIA2S+ Informed Care, and EMDR. She enjoys incorporating the client’s culture, religiosity/spirituality, and other worldviews into the therapeutic environment for a holistic approach to conventional therapy, welcoming all people from every demographic.
Nailah has experience working with couples, individuals, adults, veterans, and members of the LGBTQIA+ community. She is also a proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps with an innate understanding of military life, the lives of their families, and the culture of the Armed Forces. She is not as lean, not as mean, always and forever a United States Marine who continually strives to serve her community.
Jennifer Tanner
Resident in Counseling
Jennifer Tanner is currently a resident in counseling specializing in substance use disorders for adult populations. In this role, Ms. Tanner provides counseling to clients struggling with substance abuse and mental health disorders utilizing a variety of methods including cognitive behavioral therapy, psychoeducation, and motivational interviewing. She is trained in diagnosis, assessment, and comprehensive treatment planning. Ms. Tanner has also been published as a research assistant in the Journal of Neurophysiology. She is recognized as a student member of the American Psychological Association (APA), the American Counseling Association (ACA), as well as the National Association for Alcoholism and Drug Abuse Counselors (NAADAC).
Ms. Tanner earned a Master of Science in Christian Counseling of Substance Use & Addictive Disorders from Grand Canyon University and is currently pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy in General Psychology, Cognition. Her long-time professional goals include specializing in substance abuse disorder treatment for clients with chronic pain.
Ms. Tanner currently lives in Fredericksburg, VA with her husband and five children. In her downtime, she enjoys watching football, trying her hand at art endeavors and spending time outside
